About the Work

Damien Hirst's Red, Yellow Swallowtail and Green Spots is a unique work that belongs to his long-standing fascination with butterflies, a recurring motif in his exploration of themes such as life, death, beauty, and fragility. 

This is an original unique monoprint , published by Other Criteria in London.  The works is based on Damien Hirst's The Souls on Jacob's Ladder take their flight, 2007,  a series of Butterfly works published the previous year.
