Tracey Emin's My Heart Is With You Always (2014) is a characteristic union of word and image — a heart and the artist's looping handwriting set down as a private message made public. An offset lithographic poster in colours on glossy wove paper, this example is signed and dated '2015' in silver felt-tip pen by the artist.

One of the most influential of the Young British Artists, Emin (b. 1963) built her career on radical candour, mining love, loss and longing across neon, textile, film and works on paper. Her heart-and-text posters carry that emotional directness into an intimate scale, the handwritten line standing in for the artist's own presence.
