About the work+
Aechmea Bromeliad Poster, 2022, by Jonas Wood is a hand-signed 27-color lithograph on fine art paper from an edition of 80. This contemporary print features Wood's distinctive botanical imagery showcasing multiple renditions of a bromeliad plant rendered in his characteristic perspective. Jonas was inspired by posters of plants at local nurseries around LA.

“I wanted the plants to have a loosely hand-drawn vibe inside a kind of hard-edge, computer-generated grid. I was looking at some Picasso prints and liked how the lithographic pencil came across a lot like Picasso’s line, so I was hoping to achieve something similar here.”

Jonas Wood worked with long time collaborator Cirrus Editions in his hometown of Los Angeles for this edition. The print was co-published by Cirrus Editions, Ltd. and WKS Editions (Jonas's studio).
